Recently, the 2025 Jiangsu University Foreign Students Teaching Observation Competition was held at Nanjing Tech University. Ye Yaojun, a Chinese language teacher from our university's School of International Education, performed outstandingly in the International Chinese Education track and won the first prize.
This competition is hosted by the Foreign Student Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association and is one of the provincial-level events recognized by the Jiangsu Higher Education Association. The competition features four tracks: fully English taught courses, international Chinese education, Chinese national education, and innovative teaching for international students. It attracted 172 teachers from 64 universities in the province to compete on the same stage, showcasing the education and teaching level of Jiangsu universities for international students studying in China.
In the competition, Teacher Ye Yaojun combined the actual situation of international Chinese classrooms with the language needs of international students, and integrated Chinese knowledge and culture into situational and task-based teaching. The classroom objectives were clear, the organization was smooth, and the interaction was good, fully demonstrating the professional competence and teaching style of our school's Chinese teachers, and was unanimously recognized by the judges.
This award is an important achievement of our school in promoting the high-quality development of education for international students in China, reflecting the school's efforts to deepen teaching reform and improve the level of teaching staff in the field of international Chinese education. The school will take this as an opportunity to further optimize the international Chinese language curriculum system for international students and enhance the level of international Chinese language teaching.
