On the afternoon of December 24th, the School of International Education launched the "Knowledge and Action in Jiangsu, Understanding Transportation" cultural experience activity, with more than 40 international students from 8 countries including Thailand, Russia, and Laos participating in the event. During the event, international students deeply felt Mr. Mao Yisheng's patriotism and technological responsibility through on-site exploration and experience.
Under the bilingual guidance of the guide and teachers, international students were attracted by Mr. Mao Yisheng's magnificent life and shocked by the modernization achievements of China's bridge engineering. The exhibits displayed in the exhibition area, such as inclined cable steel cables and anchor models, intuitively demonstrate the leap of Chinese bridge technology from following to leading, and also deeply understand the inheritance and continuation of Mr. Mao Yisheng's innovative spirit in contemporary times. International students frequently ask questions, delving into the technological breakthroughs and spiritual codes behind China's bridges. Everyone expressed that this event not only provided them with a systematic understanding of the development process of Chinese bridge engineering, but also helped them understand the spiritual core of Chinese intellectuals' patriotism, innovation, practicality, and dedication through the deeds of Mr. Mao Yisheng.
This visit activity is a measure taken by the school to promote cross-cultural education based on the characteristics of transportation. It not only builds a bridge for cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, but also helps international students better integrate into Chinese learning and life, becoming friendly ambassadors for spreading transportation culture and promoting mutual learning of civilizations.
